Dream

People spend about one third of their lifetime sleeping. Dreams occur when we sleep. Sometimes we remember what we dreamed about last night but most of the time we don’t remember.

Each of our dreams usually lasts about five to twenty minutes. Our dreams often consist of visual, verbal and emotional thoughts.

The reason why people dream when they go to sleep is quite controversial. No one knows for certain why we dream. Some say that dreams help us solve our daily problems. Some people think that dreams can help us predict our future. One thing is for certain, our dreams are very symbolic.

For years people have been doing research hoping to find out what our dreams mean. Here are some common dream themes and possible interpretations.

Being naked in public

This is a very common dream. It usually means that there is something that you want to hide or that you are not prepared for a task that has been assigned to you.

Falling into a hole or from the sky

This dream can mean that you feel a sense of insecurity in your life or that you feel there are things not in your control.

Flying

Having a dream of flying typically means that you feel in control of your life.

Losing your teeth

This is another common dream where we lose all of our teeth. Some experts say that teeth are related to our sense of communication and power. So, when we lose our teeth, we lose our power and the ability to speak.

Being chased

This dream is usually caused by anxiety and stress that we have in real life.

Taking an exam

This dream usually occurs when you feel unprepared. It can mean that you are not ready for a challenge or that you’re afraid of being judged by others.

deja vu 

1) an impression of having seen or experienced something before;

2) the feeling that what is happening now has happened before in exactly the same way

3) the illusion of having previously experienced something actually being encountered for the first time.
