Different from Isseyboo's accident, a near accident was what happened to me one or two weeks ago.

I was crossing a road when a scooter driver ran through a red light. I went blank and stopped at the very moment; the scooter screeched to a halt; the driver snapped a nasty word in Taiwanese and off he drove; this happened in the space of few seconds. I resumed walking shortly afterwards, murmuring nasty interjections in English.
