This happened when I just came to UK.I and my soon-to-be-ex hubby(SH) were still lovely lovely.Anyway,this is quite embarrassing and until today,it is one of Lewarne's favorite family jokes.
SH was sleeping in the bedroom.I was in the front room watching telly then I saw some birds outside.
Me: Babe!! wake up!! There are some penguins in the garden!!!Can we just shoot them so i can eat them?
SH: What?! penguins? we don't have penguins here...
Me: Yes,you do.There are loads of them outside in the garden!! I want the fat one,ok?!
SH:You don't eat penguins,do u?
SH had this horrfied looks on his face cuz the thought of eating penguins put him off big time...
Me: Of course we do! I had it all the time when I was in Taiwan.They are nice...
SH: penguins?! you mad woman...
So he came out of the bedroom and went to get his air rifle.
He looked out of the window then started to laugh.
SH:when you said penguins,you mean pigeons.right?
Me: I never said penguins,I said pigeons.We don't eat penguins anyway...Can u eat penguins?
So what happened was I said penguins instead of pigeons without noticing I used the wrong words...It was a small mistakes and wasn't even that funny...but everybody tease me about it when they saw me for about 3 years...
How embarrassing....

Eons ago, I had a similar experience. I called a squirrel as a hamster instead.

I had pigeon stew when I was very little. That was some folk treatment my mom got from some other people. Now I daren't eat that anymore.

My Indo friend told me how to cook a pigeon properly cuz it has
this strong flavor. Apparently you need to deep fried it them roast it.I tried a couple of times ,and it was good!

Btw,why does everything taste like chicken ?

waaa hahahah I would like to say , everything taste like chicken is a very interesting question, it seems chicken is the most easy to eat and less people refuse to eat it ^^ not like pork , beaf .... whatever haahah
